Catching up with the new Mrs. Wilson

So, life has been crazy since I got married one month ago! To answer a few frequently asked questions: Yes, we’re thrilled. Yes, we thought the wedding was gorgeous. Yes, we enjoyed our honeymoon. No, we haven’t killed each other yet. And, no, I”m not pregnant.

There, I think that’s about it.

Within the last several months tons of new “things” have happened in my life in quick order: new job, new house, new roommate (forever!). I’ve realized, much to my shock, I don’t handle change very well. A lot of it has happened in my life since graduating college over a year ago – heck, since coming to college in 2008! Change seems to unsettle me. Wait, that’s not quite right, change I don’t expect or can’t control is what unsettles me. I say I’m shocked because, in my reaction to change, the Lord has revealed to me how much I still desire my ways over His. And, truly Christ’s ways are always higher – always better.

Isn’t that the truth! Inspirational, as always, Victoria! Thank You. I have been wanting to write you but just never find the time. I really intended and wanted to send you both a wedding gift but our financial situation is so tight we only have enough for the necessities (thank you, God!). God is keeping us going, as usual and really blessing us lately and keeping our hope alive for Jeff’s recovery. I miss you. (My email is there if you ever want to send me a line)

Love the new blog look and your new last name! Change unsettles me too… I’m still working on trusting the Lord and not being such a control freak. It is a life long process!
