You Mean To Tell Me (What I Learned in May)
May has been insane.
I’m writing this post from a hotel room on my iPhone in Indy while rocking my road trip trooper of a daughter to sleep.
That’s how insane May has been.
But in the spirit of being a dedicated blogger, I’m cranking out this month’s linkup. I know. I have the resolve of a patriot.
While I learned many interesting tidbits this month. None so changed my life as the one I’m about to share.
Months ago we lost the audio auxiliary cable for our car. We looked for it and even asked family if they’d seen it, but to no avail. With a big trip coming up (hence why I am in the very flat state of Indiana) I mentioned to my husband that I wished we could just buy another one.
“O those things? Babe they’re like a couple of bucks at Walmart.”
“You mean to tell me,” I started, “that we could have had one all this time FOR JUST A COUPLE OF DOLLARS!?”
Friends I have endured horrible radio songs and podcast-less commutes for longer than I care to say. Only to find out my pains could have been easily remedied for the price of a cassette tape at a flea market. I realize this is a first world problem. But seriously.
Tomorrow we drive back from Indy and I’ll be jamming to my iTunes.
Because I can.
Haha, oh no! That is really sad…but also good that they are that cheap! 🙂
I bet you enjoyed that drive home.
