June Resolutions Report Card

If y’all remember, at the beginning of the month I did a ‘June Resolutions‘ link up with Kelli from She Learns as She Goes. Time to give a report!

Snapshot from a lovely, summery stroll.

Get Through My 1st Trimester!
Yes! We did it! lol I’ll be posting a pregnancy update soon(ish), but Ben and I have been thanking God for carrying our baby and me safely through these tender first few months.

Be Intentional With This Blog
In general, I think I was fairly consistent with posting, sharing, and connecting with other bloggers this month. Kelli’s linkup was one of two I joined this month, the other was hosted by Emily Freeman of Chatting at the Sky. As a result, a few new friends popped over to the blog (thanks guys!) and I was able to find other bloggers I’ll be following. One thing I have yet to do is work on custom designing my site. I really was hoping I’d get around to that this month! Still trying to decide the feel of this site and deciding if I should try my hand at DIY designing or team up with someone who actually knows what they’re doing!

Be Intentional With My Church Family
Though I will always have more room to improve here, I was really blessed by the opportunities I had with members of my church community. I’ve been visiting with my accountability partner every week and consistently trying to touch base and get together with other church members. That community happens naturally is a bit of a myth. Just like other important relationships – such as your relationship with your spouse – genuine church relationships take work.

Update My Wardrobe
And this last goal is met with another hearty SUCCESS! I cleaned out about 75% of my clothes that I hadn’t worn in a while (or didn’t like when I actually wore them so why are they still hanging around?) Now I’m in the rebuilding stages and I’ve gotten a few new pieces on sale. Though it’s taken me years, I think I’m finally realizing my style. It’s so easy to fill up a pin board with style ideas and icons, but another thing entirely to figure out how those ideas translate into your style.

What about you? Did you accomplish your June goals? Anything you hope to get done in July?

I accomplished one goal this past weekend! Read all about it 🙂

Also, I like your wardrobe goal- I tried the “flip your hangers” thing and it worked! I was motivated to wear clothes that I hadn’t worn in a while, and I either realized I love it or hate it. So nice to see all my worn clothing 🙂

Hi Victoria! I’m a repeat visitor from Emily’s linkup. Just wanted to say I’m really enjoying reading your posts! You mentioned that you’re still trying to make your blog a place worth visiting – maybe before going to a writer’s conference. I’m in the same spot, just trying to find my niche, as you said. Interesting place to be, yes? Keep on writing, friend 🙂

Hi Mallory! 🙂 Great to hear from you! Thank you so much for keeping in touch! I still am reading your blog and will love to watch us both explore what our blogs should be. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll get to meet up at a writer’s conference!?
