My iPod is unique. My artists include everything from The Eagles to Beyonce, and my songlists range from Broadway to Praise and Worship. Why is my iPod so unique? Because I, also, am unique.
We all, as the psalmist writes, “are fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14 ESV). Every little component of your being marks you as one-of-a-kind.
And yet, even though we have been formed by the God of the Universe, we are residents of a fallen world.
I have days of confidence, days of insecurity. I have days when I’m bee-bopping along, and days when I’d rather curl up with a pillow and start all over again. Sometimes I’m clumsy, sometimes I’m graceful. I can be kind, or callous. One week I will faithfully follow the LORD and, the next week, you could find me veering away from His presence.
Thankfully, the LORD has a redemptive plan for all of us, to make every child of the King resemble our Maker a little more every single day.
Try using your iPod as a reminder of your God-given personality, and as a challenge to become the faithful person our Maker created us to be.
